Who is responsible
Nyttoverkstaden AB is responsible for personal data processed by Coach Kento. For privacy questions, requests or withdrawal of consent, contact support@coachkento.com.
What Kento collects
Kento stores your account identifiers, email when you use email sign-in, preferences, onboarding answers, conversations, photos you send, coaching notes, plans, routines and activity you log. If you connect Apple Health, Kento imports the health and fitness categories you permit, which may include activity, workouts, sleep, heart and body measurements, nutrition, mindful minutes, daylight, mood and symptoms. Cycle sharing is a separate optional choice. Subscription status, device notification tokens and operational records are also processed.
Why we use it
We use account and subscription information to provide your account, verify access and respond to your requests. Coaching data supports personalized conversations, plans and scheduled coaching. We rely on your explicit consent for AI processing of health and other sensitive information and your separate choices for Apple Health and cycle sharing. Necessary account and service processing supports our contract with you. Security and reliability records support our legitimate interest in operating a secure service, subject to your rights. We may retain records where legally required. We also measure subscription trials, first payments, renewals and refunds to understand how the service performs.
AI providers and health information
With your permission, relevant conversations, photos, saved coaching notes and health and fitness information are sent through OpenRouter to OpenAI to generate coaching and carry out scheduled coaching. The app asks for this permission before AI coaching starts. Kento requests OpenRouter endpoints that disallow data collection; this is not a promise of zero retention. Providers may process data for service delivery and abuse prevention under their terms. Health sharing is optional. Coaching requires AI processing and is not medical care.
Other service providers
Our hosting providers process stored app data. Cloudflare provides network infrastructure and, where email sign-in is enabled, sign-in email delivery. Apple or Google verifies the sign-in method you choose. RevenueCat and Apple process subscription and purchase information. Apple delivers push notifications; notification text may appear on your lock screen according to your device settings. We do not sell your personal or health information. Health information and coaching content are not used for advertising.
Product analytics
When product analytics is enabled for your version of Kento, we use PostHog in the EU to understand where onboarding, sign-in, coaching setup and purchases work well or fail. We send fixed screen and action names, step timings, broad error categories, app version, random journey and session identifiers, and confirmed subscription trial and first-payment events with amount and currency when available. A random identifier connects your steps before sign-in; after sign-in it is linked to your opaque subscription account identifier so we can understand the whole journey. Analytics does not include your answers, goals, health or fitness information, conversations, photos, email address or advertising identifier. We do not use session recordings or automatic screen-content capture, and disable location enrichment and stored client IP addresses for this project. This measurement is separate from advertising. You can turn off Help improve Kento before signing up or in Settings without affecting your use of Kento. Turning it off stops new analytics on this phone and discards its pending analytics events. For a signed-in account, the change also stops future subscription analytics once the server confirms it. If you are offline, server reporting may continue until the change is synchronized; the app shows when that is pending. Turning analytics off does not erase events already received by PostHog.
Optional advertising measurement
When advertising measurement is available, you can choose whether Kento shares your device advertising identifier, an installation identifier, the date you first opened the app, confirmed trial starts and first subscription payments with Meta and TikTok to measure and improve our ads. Events include their date, an opaque event reference, payment amount and currency when available, and app and operating-system versions. These platforms may connect the information with activity on their own and other services. Sharing requires your optional consent and permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. When you choose this just after starting a trial, your permission also covers that specific trial, with its original start time. Declining does not affect coaching, trials or purchases. We do not send email addresses, conversations, photos, goals, Apple Health data or other health and coaching content to advertising platforms. You can withdraw this consent in Kento's Settings. You can also turn off tracking in iOS Settings; Kento checks that permission when it next opens. If you withdraw while offline, server reporting can continue until Kento reconnects and confirms the change for that account. Previously shared events remain subject to the platforms' retention policies. Apple may separately provide delayed, aggregated install, trial and payment attribution that does not identify you.
International processing
Our providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Applicable data-protection requirements govern these transfers. Contact support@coachkento.com for information about the providers and transfer safeguards that apply to your account.
Your choices
Apple Health sharing is linked to the Kento account you connect on this phone. Skipping does not authorize sharing with that account. You can stop new Health reads in the Apple Health app and manage cycle sharing in Kento. Stopping Health access does not erase information already shared. To withdraw AI or sensitive-data processing consent, contact support@coachkento.com. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of processing that already occurred. Export and account deletion are available in Settings. Your account export includes analytics events linked to your account when PostHog is configured. For help with analytics records created before sign-in that have not been linked to an account, contact support@coachkento.com.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and coaching information while needed to provide your account and respond to your requests. Account deletion removes the live account and its associated app data and requests deletion of its RevenueCat customer record. Existing backup copies and provider records may remain until their retention periods end, or where required for security or legal obligations. Contact us for the applicable retention details. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage it with Apple. Account deletion also removes advertising consent, commercial event records and pending advertising deliveries. It does not automatically erase events already received by advertising platforms; contact us for help exercising your rights with those providers. Account deletion queues removal of your linked PostHog profile and analytics events. PostHog processes event deletion asynchronously, so completion can follow the removal of your Kento account. We retain the minimum opaque identifier and deletion status needed to retry and verify that removal, then erase that record. Unlinked activity from before sign-in is not automatically associated with an account deletion; contact us for help with an erasure request.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent and complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local supervisory authority. Contact support@coachkento.com so we can verify your request and help.
Changes
We update this policy when processing changes. Material changes to AI sharing require a new in-app permission before affected coaching begins.
